Horse & Rider Combination of the Year
The Mid-America Eventing Association has recognized Horses of the Year for USEA Recognized levels of competition since its inception in 1977. In 2014, the Intermediate level awards were discontinued and Starter Novice was added to reflect the levels of competition offered at MAEA sponsored events.
2020 marked a new revision for the Mid-American Eventing Association awards system! To recognize the rider’s role in the horse’s success, awards will be presented to the Horse & Rider Combination at each level as well as combined levels as the Overall Horse & Rider of the Year.
Awards will be presented following the completion of each level of show jumping at the USEA Recognized Heritage Park Horse Trials. Riders will be competing for Championship ribbons as well as prizes!
